From 2 to 3 April, the ‘Construye 2030plus’ consortium actively took part in the 16th BUILD UP Skills European Exchange Meeting, held in Brussels. This key gathering brought together national projects working to align the construction sector’s vocational qualifications with the European climate targets.
During the event, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción (as the coordinating entity of the initiative) had the opportunity to present the approach and initial steps of the ‘Construye 2030plus’ project, co-funded by the European Union’s LIFE Programme. The project aims to develop training and certification in green micro-skills.
In this way, the initiative shared the stage with 26 other projects from different Member States, in a session organised by CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) and DG ENER (Directorate-General for Energy), with the participation of 67 representatives from European consortia.
The meeting provided a valuable platform for sharing strategies, good practices, and synergies among projects, with particular focus on the common challenges in implementing specialised technical training, flexible certification through micro-credentials, and the role of social and educational stakeholders in transforming the sector.
