Obras Urbanas magazine highlights the ‘Construye 2030plus’ project as an example of commitment to sustainable building

The prestigious magazine Obras Urbanas has featured an article in its issue no. 110 (March–April 2025) entitled “The Fundación Laboral leads the way towards greener building with Construye 2030plus”, which highlights the consortium’s efforts to promote training in micro-skills for the ecological transition of the construction sector.

The article, authored by Beatriz Oliete, Head of International Projects at Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, outlines the main objectives, actions, and expected outcomes of the ‘Construye 2030plus’ initiative, co-funded by the LIFE Programme.

It emphasises the key role of training and certification in green micro-skills as a driver to accelerate the transformation of the building stock, improve employability, and ensure that construction professionals are equipped to meet the sustainability and energy efficiency challenges set by the European Union.

The article also details how ‘Construye 2030plus’ is developing tailored training pathways, innovative materials, self-assessment and certification tools, as well as a practical On-Site Training Route that will travel through ten Spanish cities.

This publication represents significant recognition of the project’s approach and vision, and it strengthens our commitment to greener, more modern, and sector-relevant vocational training.
