New educational resources on heat pump installation for more sustainable construction

Fundación Laboral de la Construcción and the Eduardo Torroja Institute for Construction Science (CSIC) have held a key meeting as part of the ‘Construye 2030plus’ project, to advance the design of innovative teaching materials for training professionals in heat pump installation.

This joint effort, framed within the BUILD UP Skills initiative and co-funded by the LIFE programme, aims to enhance individual skills in the sector through practical methodologies and materials adapted to the new European Directive on Energy Efficiency in Buildings.

The design of these resources will offer a different, flexible training framework based on the acquisition of certifiable micro-competences, making qualification and employability easier for professionals. Furthermore, it drives the transition towards a more sustainable, competitive and inclusive construction sector, aligning with European decarbonisation and efficient renovation policies.
