The consortium of the Construye 2030plus project, coordinated by Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, met on 18 November at the headquarters of the National Construction Confederation (CNC) in Madrid to review progress, assess the current state of the work, and coordinate the next milestones of this European initiative.
The partners have begun developing a set of training resources focused on green micro-skills, aimed particularly at workers and installers specialising in thermal insulation, exterior carpentry, and heat pumps.
In addition, they are working on the design of a free online course on the new Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), which will be available soon and open to the whole sector, with particular attention to social partners and public administrations.
Another outcome discussed during the meeting was the start of development of a mobile self-assessment app. This innovative tool will allow construction professionals to independently validate the micro-competences they have acquired.
‘Construye 2030plus Route’: training directly on-site
The partners also reviewed the Construye 2030plus Route, one of the project’s most innovative actions. This initiative will consist of a mobile training unit that will visit construction sites and cities across Spain, bringing training directly to workplaces and adapting to professionals’ daily routines.
With this action, the consortium aims to continue progressing towards the main goal of the initiative: to train and certify construction professionals for a more sustainable and energy-efficient built environment.
