On 17 January, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, as coordinator of the ‘Construye 2030plus’ project and member of the Conference on Project Development (CPD) Network, addressed “the impact of training on the green transition of the construction sector” during the network’s biannual meeting, held at PEDMEDE headquarters in Athens (Greece). This network brings together vocational training institutions from across Europe committed to modernisation, sustainability, and innovation in the construction sector.
During the meeting, the objectives of ‘Construye 2030plus’ were presented the fifth BUILD UP Skills initiative in Spain, co-funded by the LIFE Programme. The project was met with great interest due to its focus on training and certification in green micro-skills, aimed at active workers in key areas such as thermal insulation, window installation, and heat pumps.
This participation highlighted the commitment of ‘Construye 2030plus’ to flexible training models, innovative resources, and learning pathways that are closely aligned with real market needs and European climate goals.
The occasion also provided an opportunity to share updates on the ‘Women Can Build LatAm’ project, focused on increasing the inclusion of women in the construction sector across Latin America.
