New training materials from Construye 2030plus to advance green skills development

The Construye 2030plus project has published, on its website, the training content relating to the 19 green micro-skills defined for carrying out thermal insulation, window installation and heat pump installation activities.

In the context of the project, a micro-skill is understood as a specific unit of knowledge, skills, and attitudes focused on a very concrete task linked to a construction activity, which can be acquired independently.

These guides provide a practical training resource describing the procedures, techniques and processes needed to carry out the different tasks associated with these activities. They have been designed both for the self-learning of professionals and students and to support teachers, making it easier to plan and deliver training activities.

In relation to training in these activities, supporting training videos and interactive quizzes have also been developed.

In addition, the project has developed other resources of interest to the sector, such as:

  • An insulation materials guide.
  • An infographic on packaging and packaging waste legislation.
  • Infographics on criteria for selecting innovative materials and construction systems.

All of them are available by theme across the three activity areas: thermal insulation, window installation and heat pump installation.

These new materials help improve the training of construction professionals in key areas for energy efficiency and the transition towards a more sustainable building stock.
