MOOC: Introduction to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and its implementation in Spain

The new European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) marks a turning point in the European Union’s decarbonisation strategy. Its new requirements and targets will have a direct impact on policies relating to energy-efficient refurbishment, sustainable construction and the management of the building stock.

To help people understand these changes, the Construye 2030plus project consortium has developed a free 8-hour online course offering a practical and up-to-date overview of the directive and its transposition process in Spain.

Through the course content, participants will learn about the main new features of the EPBD, the current status of its incorporation into the Spanish regulatory framework, and the implications it will have for the various stakeholders in the sector.

The course is aimed at construction professionals, representatives of social partners, public administration staff, training organisations and, more generally, anyone interested in anticipating the changes that will shape the future of energy efficiency in buildings.

This is an opportunity to acquire key knowledge, understand the new regulatory framework and prepare for the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition in the building sector.
